Familar Places

Familiar Places

Winding lazily down the river
We see sights and places that are familiar.
Every inch of shoreline welcomes us back
After all too long a waiting winter.

Many frost spoken days
We have thought of this shoreline
Many city days have sent us wishing
Now we are back with sights and places that are familiar.

The river, the bay, the boats, and the magnolia
All seem to mysteriously speak again
We smile to ourselves as we are back on the water
With sights and places that are familiar.
